Source abstract
A 5-year-old boy underwent 18F-FDG PET/CT before the histopathologic diagnosis of neuroblastoma, revealing a metabolically active left adrenal primary tumor with metastases to the liver. Following resection and chemotherapy, sequential 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT and 18F-MFBG demonstrated tracer-specific uptake patterns: 18F-MFBG identified a solitary hepatic metastasis undetected by 68Ga-DOTATATE. This case underscores the complementary diagnostic value of multimodal molecular imaging in pediatric neuroblastoma response assessment.
